I think that this Westerly Ocean Ranger 38 is one of the most amazing yachts that I've seen in all my years of brokerage. This looks like a great example of one of these imposing and legendary Rival 32s. Whilst now approaching vintage status, I really do think that they've retained their beautiful, timeless and classic looks. My first impressions of this Sea Dog 30 ketch were just how sturdy and well equipped she is - she's also very easy on the eye! Stepping on board and making one's way to the cockpit, I could see how safe and secure I'd feel during a blow - nice high bulkheads and a hard screen - I'd feel just as safe down below too - plenty of room, a conventional layout and all feeling very stout indeed. The Westerly Storm is a model that is well rated for seaworthiness and performance for its era. This example looks smart with synthetic teak decks and nice woodwork inside. It has a tiller rather than a wheel and an abundance of navigation equipment. The interior of the cockpit looks worn compared with the deck covering so is a candidate for similar treatment. This beautiful Bavaria 30 Cruiser is exceptionally easy on the eye - she is by far that best that I have seen and looks to have been meticulously and careful looked after. Following relaunch in April 2026, after anti foul, hull polish, leg service and a new sail drive gaiter, she looks fabulous - clean, white and shiny! These great looking Elan 295s still really have a lovely, modern feel to them - very much an eye catcher! This example has certainly had a past life - I'd say that she has been well used and well loved and there is evidence of use everywhere you look. That said, a loved boat that has had a lot of use and has been looked after by her owners is a lot better in my mind, than a neglected boat that has just been left to fend for herself.
